North Central Region Office assists local agencies and watershed groups with the collection, analysis, and storage of water quality data from rivers, streams, lakes, and reservoirs throughout its district boundaries. Specific activities include:

· Operating and maintaining networks of continuously monitoring surface water quality stations within the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and the Truckee River.
· Operating and maintaining a network of continuously monitoring EC and/or water temperature stations in the Delta and four temperature stations outside the Delta on the Feather and Yuba Rivers.
· Periodic collection of groundwater samples within the Lower Colusa and American River Basins for laboratory analysis and reporting.
· A semi-annual collection of surface water quality samples throughout the District.
· Active participation with local watershed groups to provide insight and assistance for managing water quality within District boundaries.
